Michael Davis

Mike Davis croppedViolist Michael Davis premiered as a soloist at age 15 playing Teleman’s Concerto in G major at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Cathedral, London, England, with the Walnut Hills High School Orchestra, and has since performed throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Asia. Michael has appeared recently with the New York in Chuncheon Festival (Korea), is an alumnus of the Tanglewood Music Center and Pacific Music Festival, and has performed with distinguished musicians including Clive Greensmith, Kikue Ikeda, Fred Sherry, and Peter Schmidl.

Michael is a violist and board member of Shattered Glass, a member of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra, and regularly performs with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Michael also teaches and performs as an Artist Instructor for the Musica de Camera Foundation, bringing musical education workshops and contemporary Latin American chamber music to students in New York City public schools.

Michael completed his undergraduate degree as a full scholarship student of Michael Klotz at the Florida International University Wertheim School of Music (Miami, FL), and his graduate degrees as a student of Karen Dreyfus and Irene Breslaw at the Manhattan School of Music Orchestral Performance Program where he was a recipient of the Charles Grossman Memorial Endowment Scholarship.
